nick black line studio tattoo artistI’m 28 years old and was born and raised in Ottawa. I’ve always had a passion for art ever since I can remember and I’d be totally absorbed into my own world while I’d be painting or drawing. My parents noticed my interest in art so they put me in a weekend art class when I was only 6 years old. I would keep on drawing and painting as I’d get older while getting heavily artistically influenced by shows such as dragon ball z and any cartoon comic strips that I could find in the news paper. I would keep on evolving artistically and develop higher quality work the older I would get, and I’d also become more and more influenced by tattoo culture as I grew older. Shows like NY Ink and magazines such as Urban Ink really solidified my love for the tattoo lifestyle. When I was about 20 years old I officially decided that I wanted to be a tattoo artist, but I decided that I’d finish my studies in college first before fully pursuing my tattoo career. I graduated from a 3 year Graphic Design program in 2014 and then started tattooing in 2016. My favourite styles to tattoo are realism, custom lettering, and illustrative/new school, but I’m pretty versatile all around!
